Dean of the TSU Faculty of Law at an international conference in Tashkent

On October 28–29, 2025, Associate Professor Tamar Zarandia, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, participated in the international scientific-practical conference “Updating Civil Legislation at the Present Stage of Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, held in Tashkent, the capital of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The event was organized by the Institute of Legislative and Legal Policy under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and aimed to promote the integration of academic research and legal practice in the process of improving the country’s civil legislation—including the Civil Code—following the adoption of the renewed Constitution.

During the conference, Professor Zarandia delivered a presentation titled “Current Issues of Neighbor Law,” which focused on modern approaches to property protection and legal relations between neighboring entities. The presentation and the subsequent discussion generated significant interest among participants and contributed to the exchange of professional experience.

The conference proved to be an important platform for enhancing cooperation among scholars and legal practitioners from various countries, fostering knowledge exchange, and defining common scientific objectives. The outcomes achieved and the professional connections established will enable the TSU Faculty of Law to actively engage in regional legal development and further strengthen international academic collaboration.
